The Cold Won’t Keep Us Apart

Chilling temperatures cause the time to stop and freeze
As if the breath of air had been taken by force
Forcing what could be into what could have been
The air flight cancelled the train delayed the roads closed due to blizzard condition
Too late to turn back now I am half way there
Only to find myself when I get where I am going
In the dark all lights are out no electricity no heat
Just below zero weather now nothing to eat until I find shelter
The storm left one thing to hold onto, the gift of faith
The gift of hope and prayer and knowing that together we share
The same things in common the things that keep us going
When we meet across the miles of waiting family and friends  
We shall receive the best gift of all sharing, caring hearts filled with love
When we do it together we can find happiness in any kind of weather
The cold won’t keep us apart for we have eternal compassion
For companion for each other soon we will be together
