The croakless frog
Children's Poem

There once was a frog
Whose voice box was broke
No ribbit came out, when he tried to croak
‘’Keep practicing’’ said Mom
‘’Don’t give up’’ said Dad
When you learn to croak like me, my boy
You’ll be ever so glad
Maybe there’s a fly stuck in your throat
His brother starts to sing
He can croak a note
His sister’s croaks quiet
But she can still do it
Frog starts to cry as they all start to ribbit
This isn’t fair!
Frog continues to wail
‘’I’m slower than everyone’’!
‘’As slow as a snail’’!
Frog became so upset
He got all of his strength
He breathed all the way in
And he counted to ten
‘’You can do it’’ Dad cheered
Mother leaps
‘’You can!’’
This whole pond
Is your biggest fan
Frog closed his eyes
And belted out the biggest croak
That was the day
The croakless frog spoke
