The Fires Burnt Out

An empty alley way wet, damp, rain drops on the dumpster lid
I am cold, hungry, I have shoes with water seeping in, my socks are full of holes
I have'nt had a bath for two months
I asked a guy on the street for something to eat
He gave me a dollar, the last time I spoke to my mom was a year ago
Getting high doesn't make a difference anymore
No where to go, I"m broken, no where to hide I'm foresaken
I am an invisible ink, with a troubled story
A flame that rose high, and then the fires burnt out
I was once somebody, now nobody, what the hell happened
I"ll tell you what, I am an addict
And I am burning out
