The Fool
Heartbreak

I may be a fool to still be in love with you, I may be a fool for believing your lies, soon as times got tough away you flew, filled my head with all the lies.
I may be a fool to still want to make things work, I may be a fool to still be waiting, filling up with all this hurt, this is all so draining.
I may be a fool to think you really loved me, I may be a fool to think you cared, but now I'm open to see, and I'm overwhelmed with fear.
I was a fool to hold on to someone who let go so fast, I was a fool to have been so loyal and true, but this time it was the last, but my heart will forever stay with you.
I'll be no fool anymore, for I'm letting you go, I've closed that door, time for me to grow.

Hi Amanda! Most of us have felt this way so your poem is very relatable. I have given you 5 stars because a) I can relate to it and b) I wrote a poem called The Fool too so I felt a kindred spirit. Well done for writing a smashing poem x
Thank you. I'm 33 and been being a fool for almost 4 years, until now. I said no more. I write to inspire. I have alot more but just posting when I'm able. Thanks for the rating.
Hi Amanda, I think BM has said it all here...we can probably all relate to the words you have written so well...hugs ?
