What once was a fire
Lies the ashes of my heart
I kept dancing
Lest I fell apart.
Was so wrapped up
By the wall that surrounded me
Thought they were the demons
But the demon was me.
Smoke and mirrors fill my mind
I think about you all the time
I loved you so much
Forgot to love myself
I gave the world my heart
To the detriment of my health.
So consumed by the fear
Of losing you
That I fell like a domino
And lost the love that caught your eye
I won't blame you
If you want to go.
So alone I feel right now
Wish I could make it right somehow
I lost a piece of me
I cant get back
My heart will always be yours
Though it was eaten by the pack.
