The Horse Race

The race has begun man has put on his harness now who shall win
Is it just the trophy of the race or is the ride of pride
The victory of success to gain in dollars and cents
Are we so clever with our made up names, lucky lady, red rover, clemintine clover
The speed of light endured energy the best of show
To not slow down the pace to continue the race
Afterall we are tbe same breed we eat from the same stable we drink from the same waters
Why be so vein why be so greedy that we want it all to our own
Breathless sweat upon our foreheads run now run before its too late
