The Kidnap

I dropped my daughter at school, thinking another normal day,
I watched her playing with her friends, and then I was on my way,
My routine told of a busy day, with odds and sods on the list,
Then I thought on my way home, I forgot to give her a kiss.
The school day was just normal, and the kids were busy in class,
The forenoon session of learning, seemed to go so fast,
The bell had rang it was down all pens, lunch was now the time,
No one saw this coming at all, there was about to be a crime.
The teacher was all watching, the kids were running around,
She saw some boys playing football, a kid was tackled to the ground,
She saw a little girl playing, down near the borderline gate,
The teacher looked down at Mary Jo, when she looked back it was too late.
The girl that was there was there no more, the teacher headed down there,
Her walk was turned into a run, you could see her face of care,
She scanned around the area, asked some kids at what they saw,
They said "her dad" had come for her, thus she was there no more.
They described the car that the man was in, and told her when asked,
She headed back to the Principals office, she ran back just as fast,
She told the Principal about what happened, and called to tell police,
Who knew all to well the dangers, some people can be just beasts.
That's when I received the phone call, and all the questions asked,
Was there someone picking her up, at lunchtime between their class,
After my no my panic set in, my body hit it's panic alarm,
The Principal the police were called, and said try to remain calm.
My panic turned to rage as I thought it through, my number was on her bag,
I was fearing that my baby girl, might be all tied up and gagged,
I received an unknown phone call, it was the kidnapper who wanted cash,
I tried to remain as calm as I could, via the bank I'll be there in a flash.
I got the money and put it in a bag, and armed myself up well,
Even if they haven't hurt my daughter, I want these guys in hell,
I went to the location, and was patted down by a thug, a guard,
And proceeded to the empty building, but I had to cross it's yard.
The pat down that the thug gave me, started at my armpits to my feet,
But failed to check my forearms, so my two machetes I could keep,
There was only two men inside, their identities hidden view,
They weren't getting any money, till I saw my daughter they knew.
I wasn't scared but furious, but I couldn't act till I saw her,
She came out to me crying, the rest of it was just a blur,
The man reached out for the case, my daughter's eyes were covered with cloth,
And before he could lay a hand on it, I chopped his hand clean off.
He screamed as blood spurt everywhere, and he grabbed his stump with the other,
I ran and hacked the other man's arm, as he started screaming for his mother,
The first man's gun was on the other side, as he wrestled to get it out,
I saw the shady little bastard, as I spun myself about.
To think this lowlife maggot, was actually somebody's son,
Whilst still reaching for his pistol, I hacked at the other one,
Now this guy was sitting there, two stumps bleeding good,
I hope the bastards suffer, just like I hoped they would.
The thug security guy came in the door, wondering what was going on,
He looked at me and my daughter, he was armed with an Asp Baton,
I put my daughter behind me, and flashed my machete's well,
He dropped his baton abruptly, giving in that's what I could tell.
My daughter says that she is alright, they did not harm her at all,
I told her that she was a brave girl, and that she could walk so tall,
But reminded her of the dangers, and what people she doesn't know could bring,
They had lured her in to their car, because they wanted to hear her sing.

Wow!!!...Just a gripping piece...Got me glued from the beginning to the end...I hope this is not an imagination but if it's not...Then I must say you're a brave father...Well done
I think of scenarios that would scare me as a father, a few of my poems are based on that, others i put myelf into character, i hope none of the bad ones happen, thanks for you comment
Thanks once again Cherie, it is a fear of mine also, need to reinforce "stranger danger" with our kids
