The Life I Lived

The Life I Lived

The lights go down
The band's gone home.
I'm enjoying the quite,
It's nice to be alone.

Wind against the windows
I hear the rafters moan.
The place is never silent,
I'm never all alone.

Where I am and where I've been,
Faces and places come together.
I sit in ghe dark and remember
The people I knew and loved.

Memories dance before me,
Like ballerinas in the dust.
Moonbeams light the shadows,
Pixies laugh and scatter stardust.

I hear the angels  calling,
I'm packed , it's time to go.
Don't cry for me my darlings,
Take my hand and let me go.
