Poem -

the light from your eyes

for valentines

the light from your eyes

bless this night and nights to come,
when i'll look out to moon’s horizon
and reflect on stars that light the sky,
a sea rich adorned with diamonds,
and clouds like angels, wisps of white,
the tide song gentle, almost still.

i’ll hold those moments close,
breathe deep and think of you,
of the eyes that light your smile,
of beauty wrought to glow forever,
of you, in starlight and moonlight,
and sun lit morning hues,

while the light from your eyes,
the light you'll have always,
reflects again upon my soul,
this soul that ever belongs to you,
this heart of mine now filled
with love, will hold it still.

Truly stunning Mark. As if the narrator is full to the brim not only with love but of utter peace and contentment which they then see reflected back at them and undiminished by the beauty of the universe. Its so GOOD to see you back!! Hugs X
