The Lobster

Please stun me before you boil me alive,
otherwise my spirits will take a dive,
you hear me squealing - do you have no feeling?
It's my precious life with which you're dealing.
I was quite happy scavenging on the sea bed,
digging in crags and crannies near Club Med,
I had to watch out for the nets and lines,
getting a leg over was one of the signs.
They were trawling along on a stupid day trip,
when I got to the surface, I gave a nasty nip,
there must have been something that I lack,
because someone decided to throw me back.
Please don't eat me, treat me, as your friend,
I think that this is a nice poem I have penned!

Well I'm actually glad it went back in the sea!! Too cruel to catch and kill and eat. I'm a vegetarian so my views on the lobster and other animals would get to treat all life well. It's a great little poem of the lobsters strife with life!! Px
Thanks P.
