The Man Over There

The Man Over There

Do you see that man, sitting alone over there,
Do you see the blankness, in his cold stare,
His dreams disappeared, he looks so damn crappy,
He only stays today, to keep his wife and child happy.

He gives all he can, and what does he yearn,
A little love back, or something in return,
His passions never met, and he is kicked to the ground,
He wonders why his wife, wants to keep him around.

He wonders if they are lovers, friends or just his money,
Although that isn't strange, it's not even funny,
He helps to provide a lifestyle, a house and a car,
His thoughts and his wishes, they seem way too far.

He is stuck in his situation, not wanting to hurt no one,
He longs for the days, when they had so much fun,
He doesn't wish bad things, or anyone to burn,
He just wants to walk out the front door, and never return.

This ia a really touching, sad piece ..well written and constructed..I hope it was a subjective piece but if not then you are in my thoughts!

Thankyou for your comments. When we see people in the street, we don't know what pains they might be enduring, some people are living in their own private hell
