The mask

Outside the mask covers the pain

inside the heart pumping with strain

 isolation within the crowd 

people talking and shouting loud

those deep inner fears of being exposed

under the mask no one knows

The person that dwells and hides inside

the hurt of inner pride

jugment of character people's choice

inside the mask an inner voice

silently hiding inside away from view

desparate for recognition of the real you

Take off the mask and dare to be viewed

confidence strives to be renewed

burning fears start to creep 

deep inside tears weep

The mask I burden to hide away

my privacy mine and not a play

in open view you see the face

the mask that I ware is to save my grace
