Poem -

The millionaire and the pauper

The millionaire and the pauper

Oh what makes a millionaire
Who shows his wares to all
Who invites one to his cellar
And keeps so many warm

Oh what makes a pauper
Inside there lay a prince
He looks over his shoulder
Regretting every cent

Can I help; says the man passing
You look a bit askance
Come, take my hand – hold it tight
I’ll pull – now can you stand

Thanks can come in many forms –
The millionaire watches, from afar
Making mountains out of mole hills
Looking to the night sky – his first scar

Oh what makes a millionaire
Is it the man who stumbles, as to fall
No more he be invisible –
Now he’s six feet tall.
