Poem -

The Mummy

In darkest night she lays to sleep

As in her mind something creeps

Cobwebs shiver and dust clouds form

And ancient monsters remember

Age stained wrappings, tattered rags

His arms outstretched to claim her

She dances round her minds made maze

To avoid and dodge this monster

No dance in earnest can escape

As her body recalls torture

The mummy traps her in his curse

She trembles andΒ cries in terror

Night time recall, buried deep

In waking moments of sunshine

Mummy stalks and makes her scream

As sleeping memories claim her
