The Robin

The Robin

At moments of tribulation and self doubt,
Comes a little red robin with a belly so stout.
Enough to distract our thoughts that are stressful,
A reminder we are all so cherished and special.
Lifting our spirits and making us remember,
Those who have passed, a dear family member.
A sign they are always near when we need them,
Sending their love without being impeding,
Through an open window one day he did fly,
I contemplated superstitions of which didn’t comply.
Carefully I released the messenger to his freedom,
He is onward bound to the next who needs him.
