What a top fellow
 He is such a nice bloke
Always flashing that smile
Always cracking a joke
He's successful and charming
He is funny and clever
Always willing to help
Whatever the weather
His family are perfect
His kids so polite
Never noisy or rowdy
They're always so quiet.

These are the words
I have heard people say
But the truth is so different
At the end of the day
The well hidden bruises
The covered up marks
The unwanted violence
The vicious remarks
Children to scared to talk
In fear of their Dad
Walking on eggshells
In case he gets mad

This is the " Top Bloke "
That you never see
God give me courage
I want to be free.
