THE SPLENDOR OF AUTUMN
Fall is swirling, dancing
As the rain patters on the ground
Autumn's come to visit
Scattering her colors all around
Red, orange, gold and brown
She leaves an earthy scent
She makes her grand entrance
With a glorious descent
The trees prepare for winter
They shed their lovely gowns
They bow their lovely branches
And cast their lovely crowns
You know when Autumn's coming
There's a crispness in the air
The nights are getting longer
As she lets down her hair

Gayle, this poem has a lovely tone, fresh like autumn, I feel like the only person on the planet who doesn't particularly like the fall, but it seems to be the most inspiring time of year, for poets, judging by this one, quite a good poem you wrote here, cheers
Fall is not necessarily one of my favorite seasons, but I try to find the positive about every season. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! Thanks for reading it!
