The Storms of Mankind
The rain in the spring falls gently in the morning nurturing nature
Â
While elephants without tusks thirst for salvation
Trees and the wild have been lost in firey flamesÂ
Empty bottles and cans emptied into our lakes and oceans
trash drifting to sandy shores where the seals and walruses lay dyingÂ
Burning buildings lighting fires smoke we can not breathe
Birds and animals become endangered some extinct
Toxic waste dumped where children grow up
The thunder shakes the sky and the lightening strikes
Young children killed while they are learning in schools
Racism a rage of violence unjust hate
The storm of mankind is destroying our world
Right before our eyes let us think
Before it’s too late
