The Ungratefulness Of Housework

Didn’t I clean you an hour ago?,
Will you please stay clean for a week?,
A rest is what I seek,
And tell your friends the damn dust bunnies
To move on down the street,
I’ve cleaned from top to bottom
Now it’s time to clean some more,
The boredom you give,my bones ache,
And my energy you happily take,
Have some mercy, dishes were never my wishes,
I could write a poem,I could conquer the world,
Upon my return your torture unfurls,
So o.k.you will have the last laugh,
You win,you win,I give,I give,
You’ll be here forever and strong,
And me?.............well
I’ll be gone.

Hi sparrowsong thanks for your sweet comments. The futility of housework grates sometimes
but we’re left with no choice.Getting my say with this poem but it’s still laughing.lol ?Â
p.s. my tablet is acting up (join the fray) don’t know how to fix it.After I press publish
comment,it rearranges the sentences in a wrong way.It did for another comment I had sent.If it does again with this comment just know I didn’t write it out that way.lol ?Hugs also.?
My Dear Barbara,
Sometime when they are really "dishing" it out
"Dust up" on a novel you haven't had time for
"Polish" off a bottle of wine
And tell them to "clean" up their act
Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Thank you,I’m laughing at the thought of it.All the best to both of you.
