The Witches Tower

In a world of silence, I feel alone, I passed away many decades ago, in this forbidden hearthÂ
Though I live on, through walls, windows, attics, shelves, staircases, some floors below
My gown, I have worn so long ago, so outdated, though it is pale blue satin, with pearls around the neckline
My hair hangs softly upon my shoulders, with each strand curled at the very ends, a deep blonde, brown
My love is over the sea, where the captains telescope peered, once viewed by my very love, where whales blow
The tides break, and the wind carries his voice to me, as I watch for his return, in the witches tower
The curtains pulled back, my breath upon the glass, my hands quiver, as I rub the black onyx ring he sent to me
The curse of the seven seas, my hands begin to bleed, my bare feet freeze solid, as I hear his far away whisper
It goes, something like this, " wherever I am, wherever I dream, wherever my ship, wherever you are", we two shall beÂ
The witches tower weeps, teared evenings, every seven years, upon my passing, the captain still touches my heart
I shall light a candle, and lift my hair into the radiant moonlight, awaiting your return, to become your bride
