Think of me in Snow

Think of me in Snow

Think of Me in Snow

Β
While wintry winds bequeath their icy chill,
Β faint fires in our hearts burn ferventβ€”bright.
Long shadows dance upon the floor, until
our home is warm, so cozyβ€”sheer delight.
Β

Our breathless whispers speak of restless grace;
sustains our longing, stokes pure passions' flame.
Each cleft and crevice of your lovely face
is shaded in soft shadows' murky frame.

Β
Although our time remaining now grows short,
there’s no place than right here I’d rather be.
It’s times like these our aging hearts cavort.
One day we’ll stay like this, eternally.

Β
Should I be called, my love, before you go,
I’ll send my kiss in downy flakes of snow.

You're very kind, Cherie and I am so pleased to know that you enjoyed this. I don't often write romantic poetry. But for some reason something inspired me to write this today.
Thanks so much again!

Absolutely beautiful, the imagery left me speechless. You were right when you said we share the same sense of descriptive style.Β

Hard to find room,
so much said,
for a write from the heart
not just the head

a Love we all long for
that ages with grace
til one only whispers
their love in snow flakes

great great read!
made my dayΒ
thanks
