Threads of a Husband

A title given too easily,
a signature scratched on paper...
more than being a father
or a sought-after fix-it guy.

Anyone can have a husband,
the basic shell by definition.

But the true cords of this role
are woven securely by the
example he sets,
love that is shown,
and time he commits.

Studying with children,
leading in faith,
offering comfort
(even when he doesn't relate).

These finishing threads are actions,
worth more than any word;
one shared by so many.
Sadly...
earned by so few.
