Time

(I wrote this after listening toĀ God Put A Smile On Your Face by Coldplay)

The realization hits you like a rock hitting the ice shattering it into pieces

When you lose the strings that held you together for so long you begin to fall apart

The truth is I've been slowly dissolving for years the process has been slow but I have discovered what it’s inevitableĀ

I wish to not go to the man with the answers on why this happens because I lack faith in a better future

So let my words me sweet or forget it let them be sourĀ

I will be myself until my limbs rip apart and nothing is left except a torso

Time is not based on a number but something based on how uses it to make a change

My time was spent on helping others rather than thinking about the things that drive me into the ground

My time was spent on walking as far as I could walk rather than standing still and think about what is nextĀ

My time was spent checking on those in need rather than diving deeper into the mind of maniacĀ

As time slowly slips away we look back and see if it was worth it

Well was it?

I can say that through all the bad and good I have done more for others than I will ever do for myself because I know I will never be able to escape from the thoughts and I will never change

I put myself through hell and ultimately it will catch up

But until then I will live every moment trying to put a smile on someone’s face if that is by telling them a joke or telling them that the problem they are facing there is a solution

Because after all is said and done those who once were might not beĀ

But let me make one thing perfectly clear

Happiness comes from the moments you create and the experiences you haveĀ

Don't let them fade.
