"Today I'm Okay"

"With drugs,
the dynamic,
was panoramic.
They were all inclusive.
Not one of them,
was ever exclusive.

I had one,
to have another.
They were my religion,
my family,
my sister and brothers.

I hated my reality.
I gave up my life to try,
to find a reason,
to not want to die,
and all my seasons,
away from the Sun,
started making it okay,
what I had done,
until the night,
I almost met Death,
filled with dread,
as He tried his best,
to steal my breath,
but God,
had other plans for me.
He brought me,
to His Side,
and now I believe,
it can get better,
I can want to live,
and myself I can forgive,
that I can make mistakes,
but from them I should learn,
and now I'm okay,
with not wanting,
to watch all the world burn."
