Too far away yet just so long

The promontory β the valley road
Look past the sky to wings of steel
Illusion wreaks the realist
To touch the earth β itβs hope he feels
Grasping some may think at straw
Too far away yet just so long
The bright light serves to navigate
A path of plenty for the strong
Few in number β rare in breed
The many shed and sense a cost
Aspiration yet to yield
Distraught β desirous β expressing loss
They walk their own path β soul laid bare
To bask in prayer with arms outstretched
They kneel then clasp their hands as one;
I strive to be β Iβm yours β a wretch
Eβer and ever and beyond;
You serve me well β reap what you sow
True delight will relish trust
The Sage begets all things you know
And so throughout β their wings will grow;
Pardon plenty β forget wrong
And welcome them β look past the sky
Too far away yet just so long
