Truth Hurts

Truth Hurts

How about I tell you a thing or two?
Because these words are long overdue.
You might have bit off more than you can chew.
Im just a girl
without a mother because you don't know what to do
You'll be the sad one not knowing how I grew
Or how great I will one day be
You will never see the real me

I didn’t sleep over shit you said
I let words get into my head
I knew you were wrong
I knew you had a tendency to lie
The hardest thing about it all
Is i had to say goodbye

I wanted my mother
To be there by my side
To be a role model
To be my guide
All you taught me was
How not to be a mother
How I will one day love my child
The way you never loved me
I cannot wait to see the person
I become to be.

This is so sad, when a mother just isn't a mother, we crave her love and hope for hugs and it's a tragedy when she just isn't there.
