Two Strangers

Two Strangers

Across my heart your name once found.

Beneath many layers of cloth and flesh

yet seen by all around.

Our paths now cross when moon shines blue.

We stare, brief moment

in search of some clue,

to what became of deep desire that once resonated

between the two strangers that pass awkwardly

on the pavement.

Manners once surplus to requirements

now re-employed.

Previous heart-felt notions quietly replay

yet prove to remain void.

A hollowness looms, dull emotion

whilst trying to re-conger trace of old lust

in attempt to feel human

...but it's gone.
