UNDUSTED-UNLOVED THINGS----THE PROMISE

Unhappy, undusted things
 sad frail eyelids that peep
between bannister rails
ghostly sheeted past memories
unveiled by life's daily ceremonies

nightly dark places
holding hands with vacant souls
dreams that whisper
in vanishing traces

unhappy, undusted things

Spiralling holy trees of stone
pierce the steady unmoved frames
edged in burning sunlit flame

unhappy, undusted things

to love you all
creased, scared, sacred halls
which wonder across this drowning page
unread yet spoken rage

and in these places that we hide
guided in twilights
loving stride
my bones increase by your side

OH UNDUSTED-UNLOVED THINGS
THIS PROMISE A MOURNING BRINGS
