Poem -

Your Intentions

True intentions are so
hard to come by.
Our blossoming love cameĀ
here to die.
I beg you not to tell
me another lie.Ā
I feel the tracks on my cheeks
as I begin to cry.Ā
Shuddering breaths fill my lungs,Ā
nails tearing at my skin.Ā
I try to just breathe in.
As my breathing slow, IĀ
feel the tracks dry.
I close my eyes on myĀ
final sigh.Ā
