Walk With Desire

Among the dark, I know there will be light in my steps
I take each one in vain, and I know the feeling of sinful lust
The deep breath of my desire, when I dream about the way you touch me
The ever ending caress, and the fondling of your fingers in my skin
I know I can not crawl to my knees, without pain in my breasts
Knowing, that one day, we will only be a memory, I shall dwindle away
Into a web of the black widow, dreaded misery, thinking of being without you
Makes me wither away, I fear to be eaten alive, though the walk with you
I can only pleasure, like the grapes of vine, the valleys of clover, the smell of the morning dew
I shall never die, for I am yours, here and after, let us not be lost in our path, but hold on
To our dreams of today, where no other can step, no other foot, love will come our way

Nancy this is smooth sophisticated and def. multi-layered, write... I got a reflective tone coming out this one, and a sense of appreciating and holding unto the precious time of joy we have in the arms of love, before we have 'shuffled off this mortal coil...' you've certainly taken the time to pause and not take it all for granted...this is a brilliant and creative write on so many levels, a masterful conception, and a great idea to promote; the pleasures of physical love...the poem reads amazing to this reader, love the inspirational aspect of it as well...certainly a jem...cheers, Nancy...a joy to read your work Â
