Walls

Walls

I drew my walls and burnt them down
I was so lost but, at last I am found.
I painted my tears and tore it to shreds
as your love for me, was all in my head.
I sketched my heart, bruised and bound
and heard it scream, without a sound.
I traced my scars that bleed and bled
of poetry and words, I’ve left un-said.
This girl you knew, is no longer here
of pieces you shattered, a soul of fear.
She created the sky of azure and teal
and lives there now to smile and heal.
