War Crime In aleppo

humanity reveals it's darker side,
As the people of Aleppo are forced to hide.
children to terrified to sleep,
As mothers by their side do weep.
From Missile attacks and the artillery shell,
The misery caused must seem like hell.
With no coats on their backs or shoes on their feet
As they cower from the cold with nothing to eat.
The genocide continued with no sign of abating,
Assad and Putin, won't consider debating.
Killing women and children without concern,
As their historic City is left to crumble and burn.
Under siege from land, AndΒ air,
ItΒ can't be right it's just not fair.
We agree it's a war crime, But who will pay,
No prosecution will see the light of day.
Government's talk of our human right,
The Geneva convention and the people's plight
With vested Interests in moneyΒ and trade,
No progress will ever be made.
Politicians gesticulations never seem to address,
All the world's problems, Why we are in such a mess.
As new agreements are continually made,
But just as quickly, They will be disobeyed.
We need politicians who will step up to the mark,
To consider all options, When times get dark.
Someone not driven by money or greed,
Qualities that they will definitely need.
