Wasted Time

Like 1 Pin it 0Like a million horses my heart raced, I ran out of turns. I ran out of places to go, here I stood with my own enemy; my shattered soul. If in that moment you asked me what I feared most, I would whisper your name.
An instant that flashed faster than light, a broken heart searching for a needle and thread, and a human looking for humanity
Never before would I have accused you of breaking who I once was, not until the illusion, the love spell you cast over me; fell through the seams of my tattered soul and I once again faced the truth
Words flow gracefully as water in a fountain, it’s a shame the fountain was rusted and dry. It left you only telling lies.
As the midnight hour came I knew then I would relive this day over and over, if it meant I could continually fall in love with you.
Without love the poet’s love poems carried no meaning, without heart; the words are meaningless.
Though other writings will take place of old words, it is the words remembered that can stand alone.
I loved too hard and broke your icy heart
Because of you, I never write about love. Only heartbreak.
