Waterfall

A waterfall
is falling
from the mountain
in my mind

It is glowing
it is glistening
sharing with
a kind

Of miracle
that’s mending
a life with
fearless cheer

Led by the
richest – by
the poorest
both afar
and near

Near to what
I wonder –
where does the
water fall

Streaming louder
ever louder
a clarion
of calls

It leads a
field beyond
its means –
beyond a
sense of right

And stands there
never prouder
intermingling
with light

And yet the
night falls still
and still the
waterfall is heard

With sagacity
and forethought
it utters
not a word

‘Being’ is
all it needs –
all it renders
to the soul

That whispers
in its own resolve
inviting
one and all
