Poem -

We Survive

Our bones bleached in the sunlight
After our flesh covered in man eating ants ravished our souls
We only knew the day by light, tbe night by dark
We knew of survival, the hunt of the game to fill our bellies
Love came easy as we embraced our love for passion and warmth
To know the valleys sang our song of gratitude, for we were thankful for the earths nourishment
Where we came, so we would lay, in lust, and in death
We are the native american warriors of this world
And we shall survive
