What people think
Over worrying

Before I go, I take a sip
It’s a confidence thing, it’s not a blip
Gain some character and try to blend in
Try to be apart of the strong ones, that’s not a sin
Everyone happy, I am too
It’s just the fear of not being accepted or if they think I am blue
 Another sip,  then another
Feeling more relaxed, don’t have to run for coverÂ
One more drink it’s going down fastÂ
Feeling good I hope the pretence can lastÂ
Being shy in a crowded room is harder for some
The panic and what ifs, fearing the outcomeÂ
You think all eyes are on you, being judged  by every  passing one
The shear relief that all was ok, it’s over everybody gone
As we grow older we learn,  it doesn’t matter what people thinkÂ
It’s a hard one to get onboard with but when you do you break the link
The cycle of fear and worry no longer burden you like leadÂ
It’s stops the flow of hating your self and your soul filled with dread
Learn to love your self and fight that worrying mind
Of how people see your worth be you and be always kind
