Where Dreams Come True

To touch the earth, to feel the soil of the very beginning, to know their is another spirit
Where dreams come true, the sky becomes a deeper blue, and the rivers stream with fishes
The canoes travel on calm waters, the sight of antelope, along the way, as the beavers build their dams
I look far, and wide, up to the valley, where I was born, and I see, my father, the greatest hunter
The buffalo hide, he wore with pride, and I hear the herd of wild horses, traveling with us in the pouring rain
Where dreams come true, I find my love, my native skin, a man, no other alike, for he was strong, and he knew life
From the morning sun, until the break of night, we would make love, we would touch, we would scream unto the wind, and be one
The night would be short, for I mourned for more, the daylight would be of hunt for the food of our tribe, for our children
The arrows would be of stone, sharpened just right, and the men on horseback, quietly approached the fields, where rabbit, and deer, were hunted down
I remember the tribal rituals, the blessings to the spirits, we chanted, and we danced, around the pit of flaming fire, we were proud
Now, I am old and withered, and I am holding onto my own, my family is of few, lost in battles, and sickness none could bare
But, each moment, each memory, brings nothing more, than, dreams come true, for I still have you, and I still have my pride
Where the rivers run rapid, and the lakes, take us to our place in time, I hear your voice, I feel your soft,
tender kiss, your magnificent hard body against my chest
And I dream, of all that we have, and all that we had, where only dreams come true
