Where you used to stand

Where you used to stand

Where you used to stand
Is now black tar ground
Where you slept
Is now thoroughfare

All those hours spent making life in between the four wood walls
Is now simply a place to get somewhere

And as the new memory’s form
Yours will not be remembered
Yours will not stand the test of time
Yours has been erased forever

Thank you 😊. This I wrote about a house on our street that was torn down and was replaced by a drive way.  It made me so sad that all these memories and it’s history was just erased from the street.
