Why Grow Up?

This question is often asked of me
“When are you going to grow up?”
My answer to that is “why grow up”
“I'd much rather stay a young pup”
Growing up sure ain't no damn fun
To a world of conflict and strife
Prefer to stay young and innocent like
While leading a carefree life
My single voice is of no consequence
In the overall scheme of things
Why should I rattle my li'l old brain
In my world, it's eternally spring
Things will go on long after I'm gone
At my age my engine's on cruise
One thing I've realized in all my years
I've surely got nothing to lose

Hello sweet wee puppy!!! "ruthless and conniving"... ha ha ha that's funny... YOU.... not my sweet loveable Cherie!!! GOOD MORNING DEAR FRIEND!!! xxx
Precisely my next writing speaks of the same things that Jack speaks in this poem, the protagonist is an old Indian Canadian who withdraws to a cave to wait for death. There are always things to lose and things that win in either side of existence, living is grow, learn to enjoy and know to die with dignity when the death call at our door.
For Cherie are Good Morning for me, Good Afternoon and I have to let the soup coooooools.
A greeting.
LOL Best not to burn your mouth on that soup!!! Thanks Lucas for another interesting comment!!! Cheers!
