WILLIAMSJI MAVELI POEM: WIND

WILLIAMSJI MAVELI POEM: WIND

WIND
A wild wind blows westward;
She turned her face to eastward;
A hand approached to lift her upward
For the wind crowds her nostrils
Outside the windows of the dead;
The heat floated across her breasts;
There is a smell of the burned flesh,
So sweet and bountiful,
I should breathe and rejoice now!
