TWILIGHT'S EMBRACE 
Alluring daylight, now a fading gleam,
Sharp rays of dawn, a distant, fading dream.
Like feathers shed from falcon's rapid flight,
Darkness descends, with shadows of the night.

I see the village, veiled in twilight's grace,
Sparkling through my cottage's window space.
A sadness lingers, like a misty haze,
A feeling my soul often cannot erase.

A melancholy, a longing deep inside,
For you, my love, my soul's intended guide.
A longing held, a treasure yet unseen,
Like morning mist, a veil between.
