Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt

The knight entered the bleak dark cave,Β
To settle a debt of hate,
He had followed her tracks for three whole days,
And will accept this challenge, his fate.

He cautiously moved, slow and precise,Β
Expecting trouble at every turn,
He prepared for a possible ambush,
A lesson he had to learn.

His thoughts were on the witch inside,
Murderous in her ways,
Once a family he had, all but gone,
On his mind those past three days.

Down to the depths, the cave led him,
His torch lights his way,
He drew his sword, to break his nerves,
He brought his shield this day.

Finally he reached a cave cavern,
He saw a faint glowing light,
He gripped his sword, as his eyes darted around,
Preparing himself to fight.

A young woman appeared, from out the shadows,
Glowing light danced off her form,
She was slender and robed, and she came forward,
And hissed at the knight, to warn.

But the knight stared at her, and didn’t back down,
The rage could be seen in his eyes,
This witch killed his kin, and he wanted revenge,
And he wanted her head as a prize.

The witch cast a spell, and when it was done,
Her hands turned from skin into fire,
Then with a thrust, her arms lunged straight out,
The knight raised his shield to deny her.

The witch clapped her hands, then extended them out,
To create a great orb of power,
The knight ran towards, his shield to his front,
Awaiting the flaming shower.

The orb smashed the shield, which knocked the knight back,
The witch cast again, and again,
She summoned some beast that was not from this world,
When the knight got back up there were ten.

The knight looked at her; the hate was still there,
He knew that this was getting quite grim,
But he was still determined, to get this foul witch,
To die trying he didn’t really care.
