WORDS CAN BRUISE

WORDS CAN BRUISE

Please be gentle, my skin is soft,
Words can bruise, where hands cannot.
I ask that you, think it through,
Before you say, something untrue.
My mind has grown strong and fierce,
Though my heart can still be pierced.
Please be kind, my soul is sore,
Your not the first, some hate me more.
Though you’re cruel, with your words,
They wont break me, just know it hurts
.
