‘Yesterday- Became- Today’

‘Yesterday- Became- Today’

In our quiet solitude
We found peace,
For peace remained the tools'
Of our trade.

Tenderness flowed
From your crooked smile,
I sighed!
How I loved you and why'

I would catch your eyes
You would lower your gaze,
Just like a small boy
Who has just been praised;

You gave me many many things
Money could never ever buy'
Priceless were those moments
Spent side by side'

Thirty years since we shared
Our youthful dreams,
We blinked' and yesterday
Became today.

Thankyou for reading me T - this was a dedication poem - about someone dear that  l lost - our life’s pre-occupation was of living a peaceful life ie: trade - as expressed of occupation.
That being the tools of ‘our  trade’ so to speak, not sure if I making
myself clear.:  )
regards & cheers ?
