Poem -

You Die Anyway

Whatever you do
You die anyway.
Somehow I find this reassuring
I will go someday:
We all will.

Smoke? Drink?  Gamble?
Does it really matter?
I'm not saying death
Is an excuse for hedonism
But one day ashes may scatter.

Just chill and watch each sunset.

We forget, I think,
That cancer cures and so on
Are all very well in themselves
But we will die, and need to die.
It's only so far we can help ourselves.

So I'd suggest we all do the best we can
But not feel too bad when we fail.
Others will remember the good we've done- and talk of this:
We won't live to tell the tale.

Just chill.
