You Should Know

And sometimes i think about you
When the sky is grey
When the sunsets
I devour the thoughts of my mind
Only to be rejected by the thought of you
I wilt like roses
On a forgotten grave
I motion to God saying to bring you back
Be my lazarus
Follow the light of my heart
To mend you
You should be hurting without me
You should be hurting
You should be
You should
I would know
We're too connected for me not to
I love you
But you're as hot as ice
Cold as fire
I just burn with eternal desire
No one knows but you and I
The secrets that you blatantly lie
About
Around the time I first met you
You told me I was love at first sight
And i knew there was a god
I knew
That deep inside of you he lived there
She lived there
Because I fell in love with God and never even knew
Until now
I guess I'll just have to love you from my memories to get through the night
And the days
I just ask for this one favor
Please don't remember me on the bad
Cling to my soft spoken words
My passionate ways
I loved you like crazy
I just hope that maybe
Even if it's not now
That it was true when I was your baby.

Hello & Happy New Year!
I found your poem this morning and enjoyed reading it.
Favorite Lines:Â
I wilt like roses
On a forgotten grave
The last line is brilliant!Â
The imagery and rhyme was an added touch.Â
Another favorite part:Â
But you're as hot as ice
Cold as fire
Excellent!
You could feel the love shining through in the poem, that and a little acceptance for being strong through the loss of a "true love."Â
There was one word that I was unsure about.Â
I just ask for this ome favor (ome?) was this supposed to be (one)?Â
Thank you for sharing your poem.Â
Thank you!!!! And lol yes i mustve missed that typo. It was supposed to be oneÂ
