YOU THOUGHT WRONG

YOU THOUGHT WRONG

You thought that it was over
You thought that you had won
But as long as I still have breath
This battle isn't done
You thought I'd stay the victim
You thought you had me beat
But like a cat that jumps and lands
I'll always land on my two feet
You thought you still had power
But I'm not the frightened child anymore
I stopped being the little victim
And learned; I'm worth fighting for
You thought, when you had walked away
That you had left me without a voice
You thought you had silenced me
And left me with no choice
You thought I'd never again, be happy
You thought you took my heart's song
You thought I'd never make it
But you couldn't have been more wrong
