Poem -

You Were Everything

You Were Everything

My pain inside is like a crippling crushing devastation of agony
I feel as if my world has collapsed Ā upon me in pieces not to regain
My feelings are shattered and my heart has broken like glass
for you were my everything the reason I would wake up
the reason for my smile the reason for the air that I breathed
without you I am so alone so cold an empty shell in a coffin
why must we separate why must we no longer share why must we not make love any longer
my tears are enough to fill a rivers bank and my sadness too much as if the end is here
i am in my own funeral of sympathy for I feel I have died before my time
you were everything and you were my mate and this is so hard to take
let my feelings of death without you find you laying next to me
for I can not live without you and I can not die without you
everything in love and hate and everything in your kiss I takeĀ
forever in your arms I shall not forsake
my partner my love my friend
my everything
