Chapter 24
The Tip
Lilith and Lucifer are sitting on their thrones on the altar above The Lake Of Fire. Lilith tells Lucifer, “I think you are depending too much on Lamia.”
Â
“Why do you say that Mother?” The Devil asks.
Â
“She may drive Mr. Havard crazy and fill him with lust but I fear the coward will not have the will to take his own worthless life. That is why I have put a backup plan in place.”
Â
“What plan Mother?”
Â
“When Catherine Havard first arrived in her new world I placed a suggestion into her mind. She thinks the suggestion came from The Virgin Mary. I whispered in her ear she has to help her son Joe become the most famous writer in the last thousand years. I told her son Joe will write a masterpiece of literature but only if she helps him get started. If she does not help her son become a writer he will die a lonely and bitter man and no one will ever know he existed. I told her she is the only one who can save her son. It is easy to get a Mother to do our bidding because they all are guilty of the sin of pride. Every Mother foolishly thinks her putrid afterbirth of a child is special. The only special child that was ever born was you, my dear son.”Â
Â
“Thank you, Mother, for the compliment and you ingenious back up plan. Lucifer goes over to Lilith to kiss her on the lips but she pushes him back. Lilith replies, “You will get your Kiss and more when you own Mr. Havard’s soul.”
Â
It is Friday night and Joe is watching Billy Idol on the TV music video channel. He will not see Sandy for another week but he has been thinking about starting his plan to come up with something big. He had hoped Sandy would join him in writing his screenplay even though he has no idea how to write one. Joe is sitting is his Mother’s chair not realizing Mom is sitting next to him. Catherine enters her son’s body on the deep command from Lilith she must start him on his writing career.
Joe goes into his Mother’s sewing room and takes out her favorite pack of cigarettes and lights a More Cigarette. This is unusual for Joe since he normally does not smoke. He walks into the kitchen and opens a cabinet where tablets, pencils, and envelopes are kept. He removes a standard yellow tablet and a No 2 pencil. He returns to his Mother’s Chair and puts the video on mute and starts smashing words on the tablet.
Â
He writes THREE BROTHERS...THREE BROTHERS.
Â
He is trying to picture Sandy and sees her face. He can’t get this girl out of his mind and is desperate to win her interest. He starts writing in a ferocious manner as if his mind were vomiting on the tablet. Any and all thoughts, feelings, wants, desires and hopes get written down on the paper. He writes nonstop for 35 minutes until he breaks his pencil point. Joe counts the pages and sees there are 11 pages of mostly gibberish and deep disturbed thoughts of a
mentally ill man. Joe puts his tablet and pencil down on the rug and lights up another cigarette. A strange feeling of discovery comes over Joe and he is pleasantly surprised at what he wrote even though it makes no sense at all. Catherine exists her son's body and takes a seat on the couch in the TV room. For the first time in months since his Mother’s death, a sense of calm comes over  Joe. He decides to hide his new writing habit from his brother for now. The writer is born.
        Â
The morning of the third cleaning session has arrived. Joe has thought about this all week and has decided to give Sandy a card with a letter and a $150.00 dollar tip for her superior services. This time Sandy has on a red dental uniform. She turns the radio on for her patient's third cleaning session. She again is not wearing gloves or a mask and continues the rough aggressive cleaning procedure so she can make a deep impression on Joe. She reaches the half way point in her cleaning and takes a break. Joe is ready to give her the tip and pulls the envelope out of his shirt pocket and hands it to Sandy.
Â
“What is this?” She asks?
Â
“Open it,” Joe tells her.
Â
She opens the envelope and removes three fifty dollar bills. Totally surprised she asks, “What is this?”
Â
“You have done a really great job and I want to say thank you.”
Â
Her expression turns to confusion then anger and she leaves the room for several minutes. She again enters the dental closet where the supplies are kept.
Â
An angry Lamia quietly shouts to herself, “I am in control here not you Mr. Havard. This rat keeps trying to upset my plan. Lucifer was right this Momma’s Boy is more clever than I thought.”
Â
Sandy returns to her patient and has a different facial expression than before. Dr. Parmo and Catherine are at their usual place in the corner watching what they think is the typical battle of the sexes between boy and girl. Both are impressed with Joe’s offer of money.
Â
Sandy turns to her patient and Joe can’t take his eyes off her, “I can not remember when I have received a nicer gift than this. It has been a long time since I received such a nice gift. I really appreciate this but I cannot accept it. I have taken an oath and it would not be appropriate to accept the money but I really from the bottom of my heart appreciate this gesture.”
Â
Sandy returns the money but keeps the letter. Joe is happy Sandy kept the letter and the two have a few quiet minutes before the start of the rest of the cleaning. Sandy moves down the counter directly in front of Joe. She positions her waist and hips and turns smiling at her patient. For the first time, Joe has been allowed to take his eyes off Sandy’ s magnetic face. He lowers his gaze to her red pants. Now his eyes turn to her waist and hips and much deeper where his gaze turns to a stare that refuses to be broken. Joe can not remove his eyes from Sandy’s Vagina. Sandy allows her patient to visually drink his fill then leaves the room. She comes back and looks at Joe but he realizes what he has just done and is to ashamed to speak.Â
Â
Sandy asks? “Are you ready to continue?”
Â
Joe nods his head. Â
Â
Sandy starts the final phase of the third session and completes the cleaning and tells Joe, “You have one session left. It is the Saturday before Memorial weekend. I am not doing anything that weekend. After that I won’t see you until September. I do not work
during the Summer. Do you have any questions for me?”Â
Â
Joe replies, “No.”
Â
“See you in two weeks.” Sandy leave the room to see her next patient.Â
Â
Joe gets up and blindly walks out of the office without stopping to see Mary Ellen to confirm his next appointment. He can’t get the image of Sandy’s pants out of his head. He was like a man dying of thirst and her pants were the Oasis he must crawl to for salvation.
Â
Catherine turns to Dr. Parmo and tells him, “I don’t like Joe’s thoughts over this girl. His infatuitation is turning into a deep obsession over this girl. Now I learned this girl is engaged to Dr. Habitat. Did you know about this?”
Dr. Parmo tells Catherine. “This is the first I am hearing about this. If I knew this I would never have suggested fixing these two people up. I sense Sandy knows her patient has a crush on her so I am not sure why she hasn’t told your son to back off. I am wondering if she has second thoughts about her engagement to Dr. Habitat?”
Â
Catherine replies, “This girl is just too much for Joe. She is just too attractive and I am afraid she will destroy him.”
Â
“Mrs. Havard Joe is in the game now if he wants to move forward and find True Love part of the journey is suffering. He is fighting with this girl mentally. You and I both know True Love is not pretty.”
Â
“Doctor I understand but Joe is still coming to terms with my death and the depression is tearing him apart. Now his infatuitation is turning into obsession over this girl.” Catherine wipes a tear from her eye.
Â
“Mrs. Havard lets have one more visit and if we see Joe is not getting better we will stop Sandy from seeing him again. Either way this is a tremendous love learning experience for your son.”
Â
Catherine and the Doctor leave the office.
