Cost-effective.

The " hope " of getting to know her, " better, " was always there. She, attracted attention like a turd draws flies. But, different, of course. She, knew she had something  which others did not. The constant " dating game " showed, that, distinctly. However, it was in the repercussions of trying to get somewhere others did not, which caused problems. If, you know human instinctive natural competition. Many, wanted to have her " company " above and beyond historical precedent. This, desire for continued companionship causing animosity, beyond belief.
It, was frightening. Her, reputation always preceeded her. The technique of  " wrapping another " around her finger evoking the passionate responses. And, wish for more. Than was deemed appropriate. Considering her use and abuse of " prey " ! She, beyond words, was deemed a " communal asset, "  as well as tourist interest. The way she manipulated the situations of " relationship " to her ends becoming of legendary status. Within, the " oldest profession, " at the very least. They, travelled from far and wide to experience the charm offensive. Not understanding how they would be perceived by others less " fortunate ", if, you know what I mean. From, similar fracturing experiences.
You, would have thought the opposite to what was happening would apply. Her, ways being as they were. But, it did not. The reason was clear and simple. She, had an effect like no other ever had. By, no rhyme or reason, she " gave " the rewards of her " learning curve " like no other. Through, dramatic intervention into the psychological profile of a " partner ", resulting from, " unusual " physical examination. So, testing, it was considered " a sign of manhood " to be seen in her, presence. 
The presence was really the worrying aspect. But, also extremely demanding. Explorers of the " unknown quantity " gathering to sample this merchandise. Which, was like no other. Why would they not ? The appeal of a " challenge " to the hot-blooded male being well known. Obviously.
The spread, by " word, of mouth " of her affect, and, appealing disregard of natural inhibition led to competitive elements,, coming in, to the " equation " ! The formula was thus notable, by grandiose definition. Like, a fly being " chewed up, and, spat out " ! Why, oh, why, did youthful males want to try to conquer uncharted territory, seen exactly for what it was ? By, the most wary. A  dangerous game, of deep concern. Leaving a bitter taste.
However, despite the turnover, of willing participants to end, " reputation ", to their benefit, the " dye was cast " ! As, the " flock " descended, to spectators amusement. Giving rise, to multiple " tales, of misfortune " contrary to the adventurers expectations. The SPORT, and the field of play, being celebrated as a bizarre " quirk, of fate " ! An exciting addition to suspected " life, "  beyond that, normally mulled over by those at other locations. The nature of THE BEAST was thus plain, and clarified, and " classified " ! Well worth watching. From a safe distance of course.
The age, was defined, by her. As well as the trophies, of " blind hope," above and beyond realistic assessment. The " pleasure, and pain " of the animal need, summed up by enthusiastic relaying of outstanding efforts to " tame " the quarry. Creating the situation. As, outlined.
Leaving you, in no doubt of her " spider-like " characteristics, she, dealt a blow to male dominating principle, as, no one else. The clock was ticking, then. On her appeal. Whatever, that was. To the admirers, of her " unique " form.
She, was a " cause celebre ", for the mean-time.
But, one day, she would be old-hat. Her, reign, if you can call it, that, replaced, by another more " refined " target. Why would that not be ? Knowing, " nothing lasts forever " !
When, would the next specimen of this type, be coming, into the public-eye ?
The speculation born of that, question, rang " true ".... like alarm bells ! As, it always had !!
My interest, moved, elsewhere. I was afraid. Who, was not ?
